Thursday evening Yoga

A delicious mix of styles - from hatha to yin and back. We cover all traditional aspects of Yoga including breath, movement and meditation. To stretch & strengthen your body and nourish the mind fully, we move slowly with the breath, toning the nervous system.

Some postures will beheld for longer (yin style), effecting deeper soft tissue and calming the mind. Everything is adaptable to your unique body & mind.

You will leave this class feeling balanced & nourished in all aspects - body, mind, emotions, energy and hormones. Helpful for managing your physical & mental health -stress, anxiety, overwhelm.

Suitable for all levels, including beginners.

Meditation

Stilling the mind can bring you a sense of peace and stillness - spaciousness away from the complication of life. But it can be hard to do.

This simple class will do just that - try to keep things simple. By exploring breath, body, the senses, the elements, we will improve our awareness and find ways to access the stillness. Without pressure. Life is pressured enough.

prana kriya yoga

Prana Kriya Yoga is a unique Yoga class, unlike any other.

We will practice a carefully choreographed series of Kriya, as taught by teacher Yogi Ashokananda and originating in India. All systems of the body will be effected - from the most subtle energy, to the emotions, mind and of course, the physical body. You may find this practice challenging but it will leave you feeling balanced, grounded and content within yourself.

Each kriya is sustained for a period of time and includes a specific physical movement, focus for the mind, mudra, breathing pattern and ‘primordial’ sound - often loud!

Sustained practice of PKY, will shift your mental attitude, strengthen your body, improve your breath capacity, focus and inner strength.

Come along and make some noise! There are very few teachers in the uk - it could be life changing!

All practices will help support you on your journey – bringing nourishment, love, creativity and spiritual connection.

Benefits

On-going everyday emotional, mental & physical stresses bring imbalance to the nervous system & have a knock on effect on all systems of the body, especially our menstrual cycles (which are not needed by the body to stay alive/survive, so is the first system hit during prolonged stress). Help soothe the nervous system, re-connect to your inner vitality and strength and creativity, stimulate the circulation and energy to the pelvic area and bring harmony to the endocrine, reproductive, lymphatic, digestive, eliminatory systems. Practices can help you connect with your own individual natural cycles and nature's cycles, manage stress, anxiety and difficult feelings.
